Description

We are seeking an Automation Test Engineer to join Hariharasuthan Global Limited (HGL Tech Solutions). The role involves designing, developing, and executing automated and manual test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of web and mobile applications delivered to our clients.

The Automation Test Engineer will work closely with developers and product teams to validate functional and non-functional requirements, identify defects, and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
Support both manual and automated testing to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
Assist in building automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI).
Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution.
Collaborate with developers and product teams to maintain quality throughout development.
(AI Focus) Participate in AI-based testing initiatives, such as using AI for test generation or defect prediction.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in software testing, including some exposure to automation.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript for test automation.
Experience with tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar.
Understanding of Agile development and version control (Git).
Interest in AI-driven or intelligent testing tools is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
